Be sure to stay until the very end or you may miss something interesting and fun. Shall we get started?

Crimson Ties Blog Tour

Title: Crimson Ties
Authors: VL Moon and JT Cheyanne
Series: Crimson Reign, book #2
Pages: 794

Synopsis:

Not everything in Heaven is as holy as it seems…

In Crimson Ties, the second installment of the Crimson Nights Saga, Laziel is nowhere to be found, and with the ferocity of Malachi Denali’s vampiric temperament growing out of control, Rome’s Vatican enclave and those that dwell there risk everything to keep their King’s throne out of Darklon De Sangue’s treacherous hands.
As Darklon’s mental state deteriorates, his treasonous plans to overthrow Malachi know no bounds. With Arial dancing upon a deadly double-edged sword and working to gain Darklon’s trust, this continuing saga keeps everyone on tenterhooks as new treaties are strengthened and friendships are forged by oaths and blood.
Will Laziel return in time to save Malachi from those that threaten the male he loves, or will the fury of Malachi’s distain for emotion see Laziel ascend if he refuses to accept the hand that destiny has dealt him and the gift of his angel’s love?
With emotions running high, and Malachi’s past turning up to haunt them both in the form of the mysterious Vischeral Bourne, the twists and turns may prove too much for Laziel and his vampire. While Malachi and Laziel struggle with fate, an alliance with the wolves and the secrets behind the Nephilim and their sadistic Queen threaten to rock the very foundations of the supernatural world.
Who knows what ties will bind and which will fade away.
With a high element of supernatural romance and erotic sexcapades between male lovers, Crimson Ties may not be to some people’s taste, but for those brave enough to step into the wicked world of Laz and Lachi, we hope that you will read and thoroughly enjoy…

Crimson Ties

 Review:

What can I say but OMG!!! The first book was left on such a cliffhanger I never thought anything would stop my heart from pounding as I waited for more. DAMN was I wrong! Crimson Ties is filled with so much......WOW....so much...HOLY CRAP...That you literally do not want to put it down until it's finished. Lachi and Laziel steal the show, but there is so much else going on that you can't help but to create new pairings, and new people that you want to root for and bring into your life. For me personally, I am rooting for a certain pair of Cops to get their shit together and realize where they are meant to be, but at the same time I also am praying that a certain fallen and demon manage to get over their issues, well more a certain fallen, man does he ever need to get his shit together and stop the party and just get his male back already.

There is so much in this book that it completely overwhelms you, but in the best possible sense. I couldn't imagine getting this wrapped up in any other book. Both authors together have created a world so full of love, hate, remorse, pain, passion and so much more, that no matter if you read from the start or skip to the middle you WILL be drawn in, you WILL want to go back and read from the very first book just to see how everything started. When the book ended my mind went blank, that is the only way I can put the utter loss I felt at another one being over. Now starts the cravings, the loss, and the crazy rantings until they get the third book out. Lord only knows how I am gonna make it until then, but believe me, if I have to read both books over and over and over just to quench the cravings...I will.  ANYTHING to keep my mind stable from where they left it. *Tosses herself on the ground* WHY OH WHY!!!!  You could have ended it any way....WHY there.........*

Author Interview:

Jt and VL, thank you so much for being here today. I am a HUGE fan of your books. I can never seem to put them down once I start. It is truly an honor to have you both here with us today.

J.T.: Thank you for inviting us to your blog Crystal. We are so excited to be here today, and we so can't wait for our favorite vamp and angel to show up!

V.L.: Thanks Crystal. Its great to be back with you again.

1) With Crimson Ties just out, is there any new projects on the horizon for you both?

J.T.: Oh most definitely. V.L. has so many ideas we'll be writing for years and years. And, that's a great thing! All of them sound so exciting. I'll defer to V.L. so she can tell you about Broken Oaths, but we're also working on book three in the Crimson Nights Saga. It's going to be another whopper!

V.L.: I really don't know where to start. Broken Oaths is going to be a contempory M/M romance. It's a little risque as it includes a priest. Real life affects a lot of people in many different ways. In my opinion, noone is immune to desire once their heart meets the one their destined to be with!

Throwing in the Towel is also waiting in the sidelines along with an outline storyline for another new series. It was drafted while driving between Alabama and Washington D.C.

2) Where did the idea for the Crimson Nights Series come from?

J.T.: Laz and Lachi started as roleplay characters, but their story was so much more than we could contain in a roleplay setting. We brainstormed and talked and laughed and plotted and schemed until Crimson Reign was in the works. But, as always, we couldn't stop the plot and spun bigger and bigger. V.L.'s imagination knows no bounds. One idea leads to another and it slowly evolved to include two other stories we were writing. The worlds just merged. Vischeral and Copi were actually the original characters. We started them several years before Lachi's "creation". Laziel has been around alot longer, but Laz and Lachi are our hearts.

V.L.: I love to come up with new twists, but to make them work i need J.T.; she is the brains behind this. We work well together and brainstorming is great fun.

3) What genre does your book fall under?

J.T.: I'd say gay paranormal, or gay fantasy.

V.L.: As the lady said above.

4) What actors would you choose to play the part of your characters in a movie rendition?

J.T:  *laughing* Oh we have this, I'll do half and V.L. can do the other half. David Gandy is Lachi, hands down. That brooding look and the piercing stare, he's got the kingly aura. Vischeral Bourne is an Italian actor, Gabriel Garko. Rhys is chocolaty goodness in the form of Shemar Moore, sexy male equals sex demon for sure. I don't think we have a set Roman or Clariel. Hmmm.....

V.L: I'd like Ben Barnes (Dorian Gray) for Roman and Taylor Kitsch for Clariel. Celix...*Grins* Chris Hemsworth. And for my lovely sweet Laz.....It would have to be Marcus Schenkenberg...SEXY!!!!!

5) What challenges did you face coming up with such amazing, yet Dominating characters?

J.T.:  They all want to talk at one time! We start discussing one pair's plot and the other's pipe up and then it's locker room mayhem, at least in my mind. But, I'm not complaining. I don't want them to ever be silent. Some days, we can't type fast enough to keep up and that's a great problem to have. And from an editing standpoint, remembering the details, making sure you stay in character.

V.L.: For me, my greatest challenge is time. I need a forty eight hour day some days.

6) What more do you have planned for the characters of the Crimson Nights Series? Will we ever see a Vischeral/Copi cross Series?

J.T.: Vischeral and Copi are integral parts of the Crimson Nights Saga as shown by the end of book two.

V.L.: There's loads more to come. We have loads more characters and twists to introduce...Stay tuned!

7) How long did it take you to write the first draft?

J.T.:  Oh goodness, that's hard to say. Vischeral and Copi have been written for quite a long time. We only had to add a bit at the end for them, but we did have to integrate them into the series. I'd say it took almost all of the year between books to write it. V.L.?

V.L.: I think in all, from the time we wrote Vish and Copi to where we actually set about book one was roughly two years, give or take a month or two.

8) What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

J.T.: I'm going to have to defer to V.L. Although I am an avid reader, she reads far more than I do.

V.L.: I wouldn't. I don't mean that to sound like I think we have something unique, because  nothing could be further from the truth. We love so many different genres and authors; each have their own take on the work they produce. All we can hope is for people to recognise the effort and the time taken in producing The Crimson Nights Saga and that they enjoy it.

9) Where do you see the Series going from here? How many books do you see it playing out at?

J.T.:  We have the basic outline pretty much planned out. I say four to five books total. We still have a lot of story to go and who knows what or who might pop us as we go. Clariel was only supposed to be a replacement for Gabriel, but instead, he had his own story to tell. We aren't shy about adding to the character mix.

V.L.: You never know what comes next *Laughs*  But book three will see some wonderful new characters, each with their own story's to tell.

10) What else about the book might pique the reader’s interest?

J.T.:  It's not just a paranormal read. The emotion behind the characters are our emotions. Each of the characters are different manifestiations of us. This series is our baby. It's our whole heart on the pages for our readers.

V.L.: Even though the paranormal genre has, in some ways, been written to death, I'd like to hope that we have put our own stamp on The crimson Nights Saga. Yes, Vampire, Angel and wolf/shifter stories are ten a penny, but I, along with thousands of other enthusiastic readers, authors and fans will never get enough of them. The more the better I say.

Thank you again so much, for being here.  Now on to the part I know all you fans are waiting for.......
We have with us the Vampire King Malachi Denali and his Angel Laziel. Before we start I just want to say thank you to you all for being here with us today. This is sure to be an interesting interview.

Now, let’s get to meeting these two before I lose my nerve…..*laughs*

Welcome both of you, it's a true honor to have you both with us today, and sweet Destahny as well of course. Please have a seat. *shaking begins in the hands at the sheer power of the two in the same room* Malachi, Laziel, thank you so much for being here today and allowing me to pick at your minds.

Lachi: *inclines his head to the human female while keeping a close eye on Laziel and Destahny as they take the seat beside him* We're glad to be here with you, darlin. Getting away from the Elder council is alaways a good thing. Ms. Stroner says you have some questions for us.

Laziel: *Keeps Destahny covered by his wings as she sleeps and checks out the surroundings before edging back into his seat* Hey sweetness. Hows it hanging! *winks*

To start why don’t you tell us all a bit about yourselves for those who haven’t read the series yet. What is your characters name? Does the character have a nickname?

Lachi: Malachi Azarian Denali, King of the Vampire Race. The angel calls me Lachi most of the time; Azarian in the bedroom, and Batman when he's trying to calm my temper. I think he wants my cape. *cuts a glance at his smirking male* We live in a fortified enclave under the  Vatican and seem to be collecting a menagerie of friends from all over the paranormal community.

Laziel:  For short, my name here on Earth is Laziel. I don't actually have a second name so i take that of my male's as we are as one and are eternally bound to each other in the eyes of the Creator. I am also tutor, guardian and the only one capable of kicking Lachi's verily sexy butt. *Whispers* Looks sooo good in those tights 'n black pants. I am his protector, the mother and father to his child and the only one to feed Lachi's ravenous appetite for sex and blood.

And would you say that you two are pretty much mated, in a sense?

Lachi: Most definitely. The angel belongs to me.

Laziel: He's mine...End of! So DD if ya listening....Keep dreaming asswipe!

We can clearly read the love you two have for each other in the books. Can you tell us when you first realized the love you had for each other.

Lachi: I've always loved him. It's evolved over the centuries together; grown into what we have now. *glances down and takes Laziel's hand* I didn't tell him when I should have and because of my stubborn refusal to acknowledge it, I almost lost him. It's still hard to say the words, but I'm working on it.

Laziel: It was always there. I neither admitted nor denied it. I tried to convince myself I could be what he wanted, exist solely for his pleasure, but that in itself nearly tore us apart. Denying or hiding from your feelings, helps no one in the grand scheme of things.

You two get pretty heated towards each other, would you say this is an ongoing thing? That those intense feelings are always there for each other?

Lachi: For me, most definitely. I am a possessive and demanding lover and mate. I love him with everything that I am, wholly, completely, passionately.

Laziel: I love nothing more than to rile Lachi…Get him all worked up until he either loses his cool and chases me down or combusts and takes me regardless of our surroundings. It’s fun!

We can clearly tell that Lachi has a more…..shall we say….Dominating personality, but Laziel you don’t seem like the submissive type to me, how does this work so well with two such Dominating personalities?

Lachi: *chuckles* He is NOT submissive. As it was explained in Crimson Reign, we are not a BDSM type couple. We are not bound by the human definition. We are equals. Well, he can strike me and anyone else in the Creator blasted Earth back to our smallest molecule, but he chooses to walk the Earth and not judge. *grins big* unless you touch me, then all bets are off. I do love it when he gets possessive.

Laziel: *arches a brow*…Lachi is correct in assuming I’m a far cry from being submissive. All I can say on the fact of our lovemaking is that it’s an all-consuming state of euphoric bliss that heightens each of the senses and leaves you in a languid…Virtually lifeless state of carnal fulfillment. And just so you know….Book Three will prove the assumption *WEG*

Now we find out something in the first book about Laziel that is a big of a shock….a secondary personality so to speak. How do you both feel about that?

Lachi: *narrows eyes* I believe my feelings have been made quite clear. It's part of him, that's all I'm saying.

Laziel: *Shrugs and averts his gaze, whispering, * It might not be to everyone’s taste…But this is who I am…Take me or leave me…I’m not going to change.

Lachi: *squeezes his hand and speaks low* I love every part of you.

Ok, I want to get a bit more personal for this one……..What would you say is your favorite memory of each other? Something that helps keep you strong when times are tough?

Lachi: There are quite a few; it's hard to say. Right now, despite the circumstances surrounding it, I'd have to say Destahny's birth and the angel's return to my side.

Laziel: Everything…Lachi encompasses everything there is to love. With each breathe I take, I am filled with pride, awe and love for the male I was gifted to create.

What is something that you love about each other that nobody else has? A specific quality that is only attractive on your mate?

Lachi: His mischief. No one is quite as....cheeky...as mine angel

Laziel: Lachi’s very nature enthralls me. Yet if I had to choose just one, it would be his fierceness  and the way it has molded him. Makes me shiver every time.

Ok, we’re coming to the end of our interview and I just want to once again say thank you so very much for being here.  It was a real honor to have you here and get to know you each so much better. I only have one question left and then I am gonna fire a bunch of questions at you if that’s ok.

Lachi: Thank you for the invitation darlin, we are glad of the chance to visit with you.

Laziel: *Kisses Crystal’s cheek and grins* Always a pleasure gorgeous.

What is your favorite sexual encounter? I know you have both had some wild ones…..lol  I know which is MY fav, but I want to know which one sticks in your mind most.

Lachi: The barn ...in Crimson Reign. *nods* definitely.

Laziel: For all our wildness and the ferociousness of our encounters, for me…Being splayed out before him, naked and glistening in front of the fire in our library. Seeing the need and want in his eyes and how he fights to hide it….Those times…When it’s just us and his every emotion is stripped bare to my eyes alone as he takes me…Makes me love him all the more.

Now for something fun……..I am gonna drop a list of favorites…..some things that the fans might find interesting.

Book #1 Crimson Reign:

Synopsis

A pulse of light preceded the gift of life breathed into the coldest and darkest of souls. Bathed in the glow of celestial love and swathed in a blanket of black satin wings nestled a king among kings, a vampire born to destroy the decay threatening to eradicate the race he was destined to save.
An angelic heart torn by yearning, suffering and pain throbbed to the rhythm of the life he created; a life prophesied in the scriptures by the Creator’s own hand. A vow of servitude given in blood sealed the fate of a Seraphim’s heart and tied it eternally to the creation he craves, protects…loves.
Ancient treaties are lost and reborn, rising from the ashes as the Nephilim ravage the vampire race. The deviant desire that soared in Malachi Denali’s blood threatens to bring Rome to its knees when Malachi’s world, his soul and his heart are brutally shattered and torn apart.
Will purity born of an angel’s love be enough to calm the savage mind of Malachi Denali? Or will Laziel be doomed to a life of purgatory for loving the life he was gifted to create…
This is not a HEA, or even a HFN….Who knows what will happen to seal their fate…only time will tell. Vampires, angels, demons and wolves together with love, betrayal, sadness and yearning make up the ongoing story that is…
